Client | Hunting for Tomorrow Foundation |
Project Type | Survey research |
Timeframe | 2001 |
The Hunting For Tomorrow Foundation (HFTF) wanted to probe further into factors affecting the declining number of hunters in Alberta. The HFTF contracted Praxis Research to conduct four focus groups of hunters. Based on the information gathered through the focus groups, the HFTF developed strategies to maintain and enhance hunting opportunities, and to increase public acceptance of hunting in Alberta. Praxis designed the focus groups to represent active and former hunters, game bird and big game hunters, and urban and rural hunters. The focus groups were conducted throughout Alberta.
