The Beverage Management Board (BCMB) undertook a review of the guidelines for approving individual beverage container depots. Prior to initiating the review, it needed to compile strategic information. To support this undertaking, the BCMB contracted Praxis to survey relevant stakeholders; conduct on-site exit interviews with clients; and administer a province-wide random sample telephone survey of the Alberta public to identify its beverage container recycling habits.

Following the collection of the research information, Praxis first facilitated a Board retreat to assist in the generation of a business plan. We then conducted a series of public meetings to present the business plan, and to generate feedback regarding the guidelines for approval for beverage container recycling depots. Based on the research and input, Praxis prepared the business plan.
