Timeframe | 2008 |
Alberta Environment contracted Praxis to undertake a stakeholder consultation process in relation to the Lubricating Oil Material Recycling and Management Regulation. An on-line survey obtained input from stakeholders known to have an interest or involvement with the Regulation, as well as two associated bylaws: the Lubricating Oil Material Environmental Handling Charge Bylaw, and the Lubricating Oil Material Recycling and Management Bylaw. Survey questions focused on determining the continued relevancy and efficacy of the legislation.
The consultation process included an initial invitation from Alberta Environment to the stakeholder to participate in the review of the legislation. The invitation provided the stakeholder an on-line link to register for the review. Praxis compiled and analyzed survey data and provided a comprehensive report based on stakeholder feedback. Survey results will aid Alberta Environment in ensuring that the environmental goals of the Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act are properly addressed and in improving the overall governance of the program and efficacy of the Regulation.
