The Ontario-based Aboriginal Research Coalition commissioned Praxis to study the impacts of boom and bust cycles on northern Ontario Aboriginal communities, resulting from major energy developments. As part of this study, Praxis worked with over 100 First Nation Elders from across northern Ontario. Praxis developed a framework for assessing socio-economic impacts on these communities. This project was part of the Aboriginal Research Coalition’s review and intervention on Ontario Hydro’s proposed 20 year Demand/Supply Plan.
