This project for Ocelot Industries consisted of a post-socio-economic impact assessment (SEIA) of an existing petro-chemical plant as well as a SEIA for a proposed expansion of the plant. The post-assessment data helped to forecast possible effects of the expansion.

Praxis surveyed all employees of the operation to determine community service use, spending patterns and integration into the community. In addition, a random sample community attitudinal survey and a survey of all service and support companies assisted in determining the impacts of the proposed expansion. Praxis completed a final SEIA, which was submitted to the Government of BC.
