This project was the first to be assessed under the then new Alberta Environment guidelines. It was completed and approved in a record 2.5 months for all socio-economic work. The government deficiency statement required approximately two days of work in the socio-economic area.

Alberta Municipal Affairs, in a precedent-setting move, allowed Praxis access to its IMPACT forecasting model for use in forecasting the affects of alternate growth scenarios. The communities co-operated and were successfully bought into the process. The final result was viewed positively by all participants of the process: government agencies, the Company, and the communities.
