Praxis assisted researchers from the University of Calgary and the University of British Columbia with one part of their multifaceted projects, The Pipe, which focused on the life cycle of the pharmaceutical. This component of the project explored normative issues including what pharmaceutical research, commercialization, and regulation should address in order to earn public trust regarding the development of medicines.

Praxis designed, moderated and analyzed the input from six focus groups. Participants included members of the general public, those with an indirect interest, and those with a direct professional interest in the development of pharmaceuticals.
