Praxis, in association with Intergroup Consulting of Winnipeg, MN assisted Weyerhaeuser in achieving CSA Certification for its Saskatchewan operations. Activities included planning Rendezvous 2001 (a meeting of eight local Stakeholder Advisory Committees and two Co-Management boards); three major workshops undertaken to meet the CSA requirements for certification; and, establishing and operationalizing a Forest Management Advisory Committee.
This multi-stakeholder advisory committee reviewed the broad forest management area-wide issues and provided advice and direction to the Company. In addition, this Committee for the Prince Alberta FMA, along with an existing Committee for the Pasquia-Porcupine FMA, will continue to meet on an annual basis to review the results of the CSA annual monitoring program to determine the effectiveness of the program.
