The City of Calgary undertook an initiative to integrate the Computer Aided Dispatch services (CAD) for emergency response. The City contracted Praxis to design and conduct a series of focus groups with representatives from the Calgary City Police, the Calgary Fire Department, the Calgary Emergency Medical Services and the City of Calgary. The purpose of the focus groups was to identify existing approaches to computer dispatch, discuss system preferences and develop a strategy for seamless integration to a centralized system.

Following the focus groups, Praxis prepared and presented a document of critical issues to the City.
