Praxis organized and conducted consultations with individuals who had experiences with appeals and complaints in Alberta’s health care system. This review sought not only to gather information about their experiences but also to obtain suggestions regarding how to develop an effective appeals system for the future.

Praxis organized two sets of consultation sessions. Praxis conducted public focus groups in four communities across Alberta; the Praxis Team also conducted five workshops with seniors, health services consumers, and persons with disabilities.
