Timeframe | 1997 to 1998 |
Richard Roberts sat as a member of a 14-person steering committee sponsored by the World Bank. The committee’s responsibilities included reviewing the development of social, economic, and public involvement guidelines for private sector project implementation related to oil and gas, hydro-electricity and forestry projects in developing countries. As part of this project, the committee commissioned stakeholder, developer, and consultant surveys, and prepared discussion papers for peer-review. It also conducted a series of case studies to “ground-truth” the draft guidelines and recommendations.
