Client | Legislative Assembly of British Columbia |
Project Type | Facilitation |
Timeframe | 1997 |
Praxis designed and facilitated a two-day workshop to identify and explore various perspectives on key issues raised during a series of 31 public hearings held in 27 communities throughout British Columbia. The focus of the hearings was twofold: 1) key issues arising from the Nisga’a Agreement-In-Principle; and 2) how to improve the treaty process in the future. T
The workshop results formed the framework for further discussion and subsequently the report. Our team analyzed the transcripts of the public hearings using the Praxis Qualitative Data Management System, and prepared a collection of “What We Heard” reports on the key issues. Praxis facilitated the Committee meetings and worked closely with the Clerk of Committees to draft and edit the Committee’s final report and recommendations to the Legislature. The Committee consisted of 12 Members of the Legislative Assembly, representing the New Democratic, Liberal and Reform parties.
