Praxis assisted the Solicitor General of Canada in developing a comprehensive, integrated strategy for addressing crime-related problems in Aboriginal communities. The project involved identifying and analyzing successful crime prevention strategies and assessing their applicability for rural and more specifically, First Nation’s communities; developing a profile of crime-related problems in rural Aboriginal communities; and reviewing the implementation and outcomes of specific community policing and crime prevention initiatives in specific Canadian rural Aboriginal communities.
