Praxis was retained by the Office of the Transitional Commissioner (OTC) to build and maintain a research database. This required integrating four databases previously constructed for the Province of British Columbia including the Royal Commission on Health Care and Costs; the BC Panel to Review Child Protection Legislation; the BC Review of Adoption Legislation; and the Gove Inquiry into Child Protection.

Praxis also developed a database “pointer file” indicating the location and contents of approximately 500 documents, books, conference presentations and research papers in the OTC’s library. Upon completion, the database was transferred to British Columbia’s new Ministry for Children and Families.
